G’day Geoff,
Thanks a LOT for the tag :(
OK, but with a grimace on my face:

0) [Optional] - What is your name and web site URL?

I have an abundance of sites… each one free (air is free too, that’s why I have an enlarged probiscus).

1. What is the most fun work you’ve ever done, and why?

I enjoyed Beach missions as a young adult.. we would join with other evangelicals (about 60 or 70) and set up huge army tents at a beachside caravan park in the January holidays, hold childrens, teenagers and adult evangelistic events, and just be real upfront with the gospel.
The other guys on the team have become evangelical leaders in their denominations around the world.

It was called CHILDRENS SPECIAL SERVICE MISSIONS (CSSM or Come Single, Soon Married)and changed later to Scripture Union Family Missions..SUFM (Single Until Finally Married).

2. A. Name one thing you did in the past that you no longer do but wish you did. (one sentence max) & B. Name one thing you’ve always wanted to do but keep putting it off.

At Teacher’s College I used to be super fit.. I could outrun football stars… especially when they were chasing me.. today I can’t outrun a speeding grandma on a walker.

I would love to do further theological study, but I am now 48.. my gifts are preaching and pastoral… so there is really no further use (in the Kingdom of God) for another degree.

3. A. What two things would you most like to learn or be better at, and why? (two sentences max) B. If you could take a class/worhshop/apprentice from anyone in the world living or dead, who would it be and what would you hope to learn? (two sentences max)

I would love to learn Hebrew (each year I buy new books to learn it, and each year I fail miserably and give up. I can do Greek, I find it very very easy..but Hebrew..GGGGGGGGGGGRRRRR!)

I’d love to sit on the heels of another great preacher and pastor and learn from him for a couple of months. I did this once in 94 and this was a wonderful experience for me… the best thing I ever did.

4. A. What three words might your best friends or family use to describe you? B. Now list two more words you wish described you..

A. Optimistic, encouraging likeable ( I once had a deacon who set himself as my enemy tell me : “I hate you because you are happy all the time, every body likes you, and you use humour in your sermons” it was my greatest compliment.)

B. A great surfer ( my surfboard has the permanet impression of my stomach making a round dent in it). When I get out of the water at the beach, Green peace seeks to roll me back out to sea!

5. What are your three top passions? (can be current or past, work, hobbies, causes - three sentences max)

My walk with Christ, my family, my ministry and surfing.

6. Write - and answer - one more question that YOU would ask someone (with answer in three sentences max)

Which do you like the best, Stargate or Stargate Atlantis?

I like the subtle humour of SG1 but like the innovations of SG2.

So … I guess I’m supposed to tag someone else now. I’m going to limit it to three people and see what happens. If you are willing to respond, place a post on your blog and leave a note here.

So I’m tagging:

The two Tim’s
Tim Guthrie and Tim Rogers.
Thanks guys ;)
